A provisional is issued if all requirements are not met. This is valid for 2 years and is nonrenewable. A Standard certificate's validity depends on subject being taught (2 years, 4 years and life). | Substitute certificate is valid for 4 years. A regular certificate, bachelor's degree or 2 years of teaching and 60 semester hours of credit, including 6 semester hours in professional education from a recognized institution of higher learning. |
