Provisional Certificate is valid for 4 years, Professional Certificate is valid for 8 years. | A substitute can either hold a regular teaching certificate or a Substitute Certificate which requires a baccalaureate (for elementary substitutes: 12 semester hours of education courses are required; for High School substitutes: 20 semester hours in specific subject being taught are required). |
